It was Sunday of course, and Alejandra and her friend wanted to enjoy a typical Barcelonian Sunday, so they decided to take the ciutadella park circuit. This a perfect sunny sunday where the park gets filled with amazing people enjoying themselves, children, dogs, picnics and music.
markets happen not very often here but this time it provided a perfect scenery to explore high and low speed, sing the flash under the sun and learning about long and short distance portrait. we were lucky most people where friendly and relaxed about it. Alejandras camera was pretty small and compact but for the day we took the best of.
Now she is willing to buy a new one since now she really knows, she enjoys taking pictures in sunny days.
Downtown Barcelona is a place you could visit as many times as you like and will always be full of surprises.
Architecture is the first thing you will be amazed about, hundreds of amazing buildings from different times and styles will catch your eye one after another. from Passeig de Gracia to Via Laietana, to the Roman Walls, to El Raval, you may get a neckache looking up. Quite enjoyable, downtown architecture reveals part of the history, the lifestyle and the stories behind the windows.
Downtown Barcelona By Photocircuits
Barcelona has become a multicultural city where you can find locals from anywhere. Sometimes it becomes difficult to know who lives there and who is visiting. All races, all nationalities and most of all mixes This magic city has attracted Latinamericans, Germans, Chinese, Brits, french, Arabs, Italians, Americans, and people from Africa and the rest of the Mediterranean. You can find surprising couples and groups of friends, amazing hairstyles, tatoos, clothing and music in the local cafés.
And after that then come the shops, the restaurants and the landmarks….I live downtown barcelona since 2007 walk it everyday and honestly feel I still got a lot to discover here.
It was very fun developing a group activities for teenagers from STS Travel in Canada.
Treasure Hunt by Photocircuits Barcelona

Featuring some of the most interesting and not so well known spots in downtown Barcelona they had to identify, find and make a cool pic of unexpected locations as Arkham Comics, Tivoli Theater, Canaletas Fountain Els Tres Gats, and other cool spots in less than 2 hours, Competing against eachother the teams could ask qiestions, achieve points and win depending on how smart they were and how cool the pictures came out.
Lots of fun with these guys & girls…..
When we received the booking from this client it was s very nice one. She wrote because she found Photocircuits featured at the New York Times Travel section on-line. I got curious she said and visited the website.
We talked about nice places to visit in Barcelona on a Sunday and she chose Gaudi´s Park Guell one of the most amazing pieces of his work. We spent 3 hours there, she had a pocket camera useful enough to have some manual settings, she discovered flash in the daylight, aperture and angles. I was very glad to also talk with her about her work and the satisfactions it grants her everyday.
