4 friends improving their photo skills in Barcelona

Marc, Gerard, Peter and Enric got together in Barcelona to share a long weekend and improve their photography skills with us. All of them using different cameras joined us at Plaça Real on saturday after a nice lunch. They were ready for walking across the Gothic quarter and the Old Jewish neighborhood making all types of questions and pictures, to understand those concepts that gave them some trouble when shooting alone.

These guys had a lot of fun, joking around and competing for the best picture of the city. Old friends together enjoy twice as much and learn faster.  Their photocircuit ended inside a very crowded cathedral where WB and color were the main topic for questions.

A family afternoon with the Brauners

Erin contacted us trough our website a couple of weeks ago. She was interested in an activity related to photography for her daughters while they stayed in Barcelona. She has two teenage girls one into fashion and the other one into photography, really eager to explore the city and a thirteen year old son. They got a 4 hour Photocircuit for the whole family.

We picked them up at their hotel by the sea, and walked to reach the Ciutadella Park, one of the greener spots in town then we went into the Borne quarter and  explored streets and for the first time many small shops.

As we walked along the city, from the beach to the historical walled area, we  explained tips and concepts about the camera, composition, sequences, light and movement to the girls. both using good cameras , one of them a reflex and the other one a digital compact one, but both very handy at the time of shooting.

We certainly enjoyed the day sharing a great conversation and images under the barcelona sun.

Two Urban Photography Spring Workshops and many tours and visitors have enjoyed the beautiful weather and the new re-opened locations in the city. Dani was very excited about the cameras new features and I was wondering if the weather broadcast was true. We had a great afternoon both days.

Picturing urban Portraits

skaters, portraits, secrets, tourists, and all the diversity of the Raval on a Saturday morning. The purpose was to be able to get in touch with people and get them to pose for urban portraits. Many times it is hard for us asking people to pose for us , because we imagine they will get mad or be nasty, but that is not always true. Urban Portrait is one of the mos fascinating experiences during urban explorations. Faces and people tell us a lot a bout cities and the local life in every place.

This group enjoyed breaking the fear to get in touch with people and understood ways and techniques to approach and deal with spontaneous portraits.
